Learn to Learn: Understanding Each Learner
Before we teach, it’s worth taking a moment to observe. In Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), understanding how someone learns is just as important as what we teach.
Learning to learn means noticing what works best for each person. Everyone has their own way of understanding and responding to the world and that’s perfectly okay.
When we adjust how we teach based on these observations, learning becomes clearer, more effective, and more human. Simple changes in prompts, reinforcement, or teaching style can make a big difference in helping someone grow.
At Avanza, we believe that taking the time to understand each learner helps us create a more supportive and personalized approach. By observing first, we teach smarter, not harder.
